Cavium Showcases Industry-Leading Mobile Infrastructure and Device Solutions ...

, A leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications, and the digital home, today announced that Cavium will showcase the industry's highest performing processors optimized for LTE Mobile Infrastructure, that scale from small cell base stations to the Evolved Packet Core (EPC). Cavium will demonstrate a line-rate LTE small cell base station solution based on the OCTEON Fusion "Base Station-on-a-Chip" family and an LTE Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution that can scale to 1Tbps (1000Gbps) based on OCTEON(R) multi-core processors. In addition, Cavium will also be demonstrating its state-of-the-art wireless display solution for smartphones and tablets in Hall 2, booth 2B05 at Mobile World Congress from February 27 - March 1 in Barcelona, Spain.

Cavium processors have been chosen by major Telecom Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) and are widely adopted in 3G, LTE and WiMAX infrastructure equipment including 3G/LTE pico, micro and macro base stations/eNodeBs, Evolved Packet Core (EPC) systems, Cell Site Aggregators, Radio Network Controllers (RNC), Packet Data Serving Node (PDSN), xGSNs, Femto cells, Femto Gateways, WiMax base stations and ASN Gateways.
