Although I have not actually tested to verify that iAntivirus misses these trojans, I have no reason to believe that it does. I have always had a problem with iAntivirus’ published threat list, which mostly includes hacker tools and antique viruses that cannot affect any system made this century. I believe that, at this point, it may actually be dangerous to rely on iAntivirus. Beware iAntivirus. However, iAntivirus has come back to my attention after years of not thinking about it, and what I see now concerns me greatly. Especially since, according to their web site, the last update to iAntivirus appeared in 2009:....
How long on average does a normal iAntivirus scan take?
Hi, I just installed a copy of iAntivirus (free edition) on my machine.
The normal scan has been running like for over 10 hours and it's only 1/3 done.
My MacBook is fairly new (2 month old).
Is it normal?
The first scan will take longer, but that's a really long time. Depending on what anti-virus prog you are using, there should be an option to change the type of scan from deep to quick - usually this is an 'options' tab. On some anti-virus programmes
