ROM Management Three-Way: ROM Manager, GooManager Beta, and ROM Toolbox Pro
The ROM Manager portion of ROM Toolbox Pro (referred to as RTP for brevity below) is divided into three tabs: Manage, ROM List, and Restore. The functions for each are fairly self-explanatory and should be easily understood even by those new to flashing ROMs. The Manage tab is host to reboot, flash, and wiping options. Pressing the Reboot Recovery button reboots your phone into your installed recovery method. Pressing Backup ROM will open a dialogue for you to name your backup, boot into recovery, make a nandroid backup, and reboot back into your normal setup. There were a couple of interesting things that happened while testing these options; both Reboot Recovery and Backup ROM loaded Koush's ROM Manager momentarily while performing their respective operations (immediately prior to rebooting), and the name I selected for my nandroid backup was replaced by the standard date/time code. Your best idea would be to do the time machine restore. Safe mode has nothing to do with this, because you boot up into your original Mac OSX install disk, then you choose the Time Machine Restore feature. This should fix ya right up. And the apple store
