Trojans get 12 into semis

Post Falls is third after the first day, trailing Lewiston, which leads with 171.5 points. Centennial is second with 163 points, and Post Falls has 136.5.

Lucas Bolster (98 pounds), Drake Foster (106), Mitch Crain (120), Chadd Webster (132), Tanner Riekena (138), James Ost (145), Seth McLeod (145), Tyler Booth (152), Austin Wilson (160), Cole Jesienouski (170), Nathan McLeod (182) and Cody Johnson (182) all advanced to the semifinals for Post Falls.

"We had an awesome quarterfinal round," Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. "We had 13 guys in the quarters and went 12-1. There's not many times you're going to go 12-1 in a tournament. It really says a lot about our kids. Our guys that were favored took care of business. It was a pretty impressive round by those guys."

Lewiston has eight in the semifinals, Centennial six.

Coeur d'Alene senior Garrett DeMers (195) won by pin in less than a minute in his first two matches to advance to the semifinals. Hudson Staub also advanced to the semis for Coeur d'Alene, which is in 10th.
