Former Bruins goalie coach holds group clinics at Middleton's Hat Trick facility

Sure, Brian Daccord is a Bruins fan. Heck, the NHL organization used to sign his paycheck when he was the team’s goaltending coach.
However, his first allegiance is to his students, so when Marblehead native Cory Schneider helped his Vancouver Canucks to a 4-3 win over the Bruins in the first rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup final, Daccord was very happy.
Daccord first met Schneider when he was in the process of transferring from Marblehead High School to Phillips Academy more than 10 years ago. Now, Schneider is one of Daccord’s best-known clients, along with NHL goalies such as Scott Clemmensen and former Bruin and Calder Trophy (Rookie of the Year) winner Andrew Raycroft.
“The neat thing about Cory is, when he comes to train, he likes to go with the group,” said Daccord. “I’ve offered him the opportunity to do stuff independently, but he really integrates well with the other guys, and it’s a good experience for them, some of whom are in the minor pro leagues and college.”
