Ekin praises 'Bridge battlers

A trip to Leeds City awaits but after Saturday’s performance, Ekin is in the mood to party.
“We’ve got to go there confident,” he said in the aftermath of Saturday’s win.
“Leeds City are a good side but we’ll be up for it. Having Paul back on Saturday was a big plus for us, because he showed what he can do.
“He scored one and made the other. And at the back, I thought we were fantastic.
“Dave Burniston was my man-of-the-match. He was outstanding as were the rest of the back four.
“The main thing for us was the win, and of course we were delighted with the clean sheet.”
Chris Stephenson is a doubt for tomorrow after being taken off after a robust tackle on Saturday.
“His ankle was very bruised but luckily nothing is broken,” added Ekin.
“It was a bad tackle. Chris is a young lad and left his leg there. A more experienced player may have hurdled it.
“But luckily it’s not too bad.”
Ekin will also welcome midfield general James McDaid for the next two weeks. The former Harrogate Town and Railway player is currently at Pontefract Collieries.
