Analytical method for learning Korean? Does anyone know of a text that teaches Korean linguistically?

I can more easily learn things when taught from a detailed scientific approach--from that I can pull together ideas and then fill in the blanks. I do not do well from memorization (i.e. Berlitz), repetition (Pimsluer) or from "child-like" immersion
